Assignment#28

In Japan, polite to other people is very important things for example in Japan, we must not speak to casual way of speaking to older person and Japanese people cherishes caring heat. Japanese say “OMOTENASHI”. Japanese people respect for other people. By the way, many Japanese people often bow in an obsequious manner for example, greeting, when I say “Thank you” and when I say “I’m sorry”. It means proof of respect. It is important Japanese culture but Japanese people and American people are different. About 5 years ago, Barack Obama bowed to Emperor. Then, Obama said, “I respected Japanese culture” but many American people were criticized to Obama because American people thinks, it is strange that American top person bowed to other people. I was very surprised and got shock when I heard that news. I did not understand why American people criticized to Obama. I think, there are many different cultures all over the world so around the people should understand other country cultures.
