Assignment#24

We went to listen to Tim O`Brien lecture yesterday, but I actually couldn’t hear their English. I think it was all because of a loud speaker. Then, I felt lacking in my listening skills. In other words, I do not have strong enough listening skills. When I was listening to the lecture, I listened to it very hard and I paid attention their movement because when they want to tell us something, their voice was very loud and their action was very big and powerful.

 After the lecture, I searched the internet for his information. I was really surprised at that because he had many experiences. He went to Vietnam because of the war. Then, he was wondering if the doing things of America was right or wrong. He is not still sure now. After the war, he went to Harvard University for 2 years and he worked at the Washington Post. Then, he wrote his first book. In 1990, he published the book called “Tim O`Brien”. Now, he is teaching creating writing at Texas State University-San Marcos. Therefore, I really respect to him.
