I heard Tim O’Brien’s speech. I have never heard his name and he is not famous in Japan but I hear that he is very famous in America. I have seen his book once before at the book store so I knew that he is very famous in America but when I ask my roommates about Tim O’Brien, they said “I do not know him”. I thought, many young people do not know him. I asked Giau about Tim O’Brien today, she said, “he is not famous with many young people because he wrote many books about war so he is more popular with older people”. I understood about him today. Yesterday, there are a lot of audience in the hall. Tim O’Brien said about patriotism. I thought, I want to have patriotism. His speech was very difficult for me so I couldn’t understand so I fell asleep during his speech. Finally, his speech drew applause from the audience. I couldn’t understand his speech so I want to read his book.
