aasignment#24

Last night, I went to the Tim O’Brien speech. I did not know him until I heard his speech and I could not understand all the things he talked about, but I learned a lot of things from him. Everyone listened closely to his speech. His speech was not fast and he spoke with intonation. His speech was unique so the audience laughed many times. I think speech is difficult. When I gave a speech in speech class, my teacher said me, “You should talk in a loud voice, you should speak clearly and you should speak with intonation.” Japanese does not have accents, so I often speak with no intonation. In addition, I gradually speak faster and not clearly. If I have an opportunity to give a speech, I will be careful with these and when I think about a speech’s theme, I should choose a theme which the audience wants to hear.
