Assignment#24

Last night, I went to see the Tim O’Brien speech with my friends at Stubblefield Center. There were a lot of people who were seeing him on the floor. I guessed he is a very famous person. We ran into Matthew who is one of my American friends, and I asked him about Tim O’Brien, he said Tim O’Brien is a very famous person and went to the Vietnam War. I was very surprised, and I took an interest in his opinion and the Vietnam War. Then his speech started. I couldn’t listen and understand his speech, so I was disappointed about myself. I noticed that my English skills are not enough. He was talking about patriotism and what it really means. He is still not sure if he did the right thing by going to the Vietnam War. I think patriotism is very strange because it is based on control. I remembered the World War 2 in Japan. It was same patriotism. I hope the peace of the world, so I would like to disappear a social problem in the world.
