Blog Assignment #62 by Kanae

Today, I’m going to write about the strangest food I’ve ever eaten. I’m not able to forget this food. The food name is “Yushi Dofu.” Yushi Dofu is tofu of Okinawa, Japan. Tofu is made by coagulating soy milk. It is a component in East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisines. Generally, tofu is pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks. However Yushi Dofu isn’t pressing, so it is soft. I went to Okinawa in high school for a school trip. So I ate it for first time when I was a high school student. The food gave me a great shock, because this soft food was tofu! In addition, it was delicious! The texture of the tofu was strange, but it became the habit! I ate the tofu during a school trip many times. I want to eat it again! I like food of Okinawa, so I want to go to Okinawa!!
