Hello, I want to write about changing, about my opinion that which I had thought about America at the first time when I had never been to America. I thought that everything is so big in America, but we could not to say everything. Most of time people bring big bottle anywhere to go. I think we don't have to bring such a big bottle. If you had to need to bring that bottle, you went to hiking. I thought all American people like to eat hamburgers. Some of people are not. I think that is same in Japan. Most of people like raw fish, but some people don't like raw fish in Japan. All country is same. I am happy to come to here, because I can drink coffees. I like to go to Starbucks. I am afraid of that to become a habit. Starbucks is cheaper than Japan.

I am going to write about my change impression of America. I thought that all of American are very friendly and cheerful, but it was wrong. When I joined CAB camp, there is a not friendly and cheerful man. In my thought, every American are cheerful such as little noisy. Almost Japanese are shy and silent, but sometimes there are Americanize people. I thought that it was same. Japanese and American has different culture. Both of them could say, we should not have typical sight. There is no person who is American that Japanese seemed. I found that in that time. American’s greeting is little long than Japanese. A Japanese say “konntiha”, but an American say “Hello, how are you?” I thought that little long, but I think that it is important. We should be focus on small difference to find difficult. I think that there is different in it.

Today, I’m going to write about how my impression to America changed. At first, when I was in Japan, I thought that the American didn’t listen to what someone says, because the American of my favorite comic have such a character. However, it was a lie. The American is very kind. For example, they hold the door for the next person. That is a very rare thing in Japan. I think it is good thing. Japanese should learn from American. Second, I thought that America is very dangerous country, because America is the gun society. I thought that American always had a gun in inside breast pocket. It was a lie, too. I have never seen a genuine gun. The American big city is probably very dangerous. However I understood that all of the America isn’t dangerous. Lastly, the American have various people. I had a fixed idea for the American. I revised this idea.

Today's theme is How did your impression of America change?When I was in Japan,my impression of America was freedom,big,a little scared,friendly,and sweet foods.I felt America is freedom.In America,I can a lot of fun things.Amercan school has a lot of events,I enjoyed it.For example,Dance party,Halloween party,costume party,haunted union and international festival and others.they are different from Japan.There are a lot of free food and free T-shirt.I was surprised that there are a lot of free things.And I felt that American size is big.I knew that American size is big  before I come to America,but I was surprised when I saw the big drink,a lot of food and very big T-shirt.And When I was in Japan,I thought America is danger.Because there are many crime and American has a gun.However I felt Arkansas is very safety.I like here,but there are many crimes in big city like New York,so I will be careful.I like America,I enjoyed Halloween today.It was very nice day today.

I thought America is dangerous place because I told by teacher before I came here. I thout ther are a lot of poison,alcohol ,gun,and so on. So I came here I surprised that Arkansas is so safe place. Nobody stolen someone's things. I haven't seen drug since I came here. So I'm not scared. There are many people who are funny. Everyone are so kind. I like this place. However my friends who visit other estate in Amrica saw drugs and guns. I shouldn't be relief but there are so many kind people. However there are not enough store near here. I want more shopping mall. I'm tried of there shopping mall. I also thout that there are a lot of stake!however I haven't eaten stake at restaurant here. There aren't many stake here I surprised.

My impression of America was big, pop, colorful, friendly and scary.I have watched American movies like a high school movies, a Christmas movies and so on. My impression of America was drowned by these movies. Also not only movies but also SNS influenced me. Sometimes I saw really nice pictures of America. It make me happy. 

After I came here, all these things was true. Everything was big, pop and colorful. I don't think, American is so friendly because some people ignore my voice if I ask something. It makes me sad. I recognized that people are different from part of country like Tokyo and Osaka. I think Arkansas is so country side. So people are different. But, some people are kind and friendly. Also there are less crimes in AR. So my scared of America was removed.

I am going to write about my expert. I think that my expert is skiing. I wrote before, but I could not come up with idea. I had been skiing since I was 7 years old. When I was an elementally school student, I have a dream. I thought that I wanted to be professional skier. I wanted to participate to Olympic or World Cup. It was very big dream, I think now. However, I truly eager to do. I did alpine. I was good at SL than GS. SL is slalom. GS is giant slalom. My sister was good at Giant Slalom. We could take valance. Sometimes, someone said us. It was interesting. I had stopped alpine, when I was 15 years old. I had continued until the last junior high school grade. I often was said from a teacher “You should not ski, because you have to study to pass entry test. You don’t have time.” However, I wanted to ski absolutely. I have no regret. I think that I appreciate for my parents and teachers. OF course, I had passed test!

Today, I’m going to write about what I do best. This topic is difficult for me. There is nothing that I’m good at. I don’t have the specialized knowledge. I thought about that topic a lot, but I have no idea. However I have hobbies. My hobbies are draw illustrations and read comic books. I like draw illustrations. When I live in Japan, I often drew illustrations, but I’m not able to draw illustrations which I want to draw yet. I don’t have the specialized knowledge about draw illustrations. For example, a frame and a background. I have someone that I admire. She draws very wonderful illustrations, so I want to become like her. Therefore I have to study about illustrations. I like read comic books, too. However, I don’t know many comic books, but I research in the comic thoroughly that I like. Possibly, it may be my good thing.

I'm expert of smiling,ability of command. I like people who are always smiling. I like me who am always  smiling. I think a perso who is always smiling is happier than other people. I think I'm good at commanding. I can understand about my friends mind easy so I can command people do. I can understand the right person for something. So I want to be a teacher I think. Not to change the subject,I wanna be a person who is expert of effort. I don't like effort. I can effort for my beauty. For example I like practicing make up,I effort to be cute. Hi! Today's topic is different for me. I don't come up with a idea. But I think I have enthusiasm for my favorite thing. If I have something for my favorite, I will do my best for it. For example, when I was a little, I liked Kendama that is Japanese traditional game. I had practiced everyday, every time. Then I could do it really good. In the past, I had done like these situations. I can't stop doing once I start something that I interested in. It is my good point I think.

Hello, I want to write about my expert about things. I think that I am expert in the act of writing beautifully, called calligraphy. I belong to the calligraphy club when I was a high school student. Calligraphy in Japan started with six-dynasty, calligraphy brought from Baekje. I think what is interesting in calligraphy, the act of writing characters in one's own style, or an act of writing freely without a model in calligraphy. I think what is important things are technique of handling a writing brush in calligraphy, the part of a character that is written with an upward sweeping brush stroke and a way of holding a brush in calligraphy, called "pinching brush grip." Sanpitsu is the name to call three excellent calligraphers. Emperor Saga is one of the Noshoka called Sanpitsu along with Kukai and TACHIBANA no Hayanari, and calligraphy products believed to be Emperor Saga's shinkan are as follows.

I am going to write about my favorite time of year. I like winter the best season. Winter is very cold, but I like cold place. And, I like to do any winter sports. In December, there is my sister’s birthday. Her birthday is 8^th on December. This day in this year, I will go back my home. I am going to live in my house in Akita. I glad to celebrate to my sister’s birthday. I have not to decide to give presents for my sister. I will give any American souvenirs for my sister. My sister and I belonged ski club for about over 10 years. My sister participated big competition all of japan. She was very good skier. I am looking forward to ski with my sister. And, there is Christmas in December. I love Christmas, because many place become lighting spots. I love such view. I love winter.

Hello, I want to write about that, what time is my favorite time of year. It is winter vacation. I like that very much. I like to vacation, especially winter vacation have year-end and New Year holidays. I think it is the only day that everyone behave like Japanese. I like to wear clothes worn on New Year's Day. Most of the Japanese have not worn kimono on these days. I like to beginning of the preparations for the New Year. I made that something made of straw used for a New Year's decoration when I was a child. I made the which of things that are decorating the entrance gate to a structure during New Years. During shogatsu, people actively and gorgeously celebrate the new year by attending shogatsu events and enjoying shogatsu dishes. I cannot help waiting without New Year's Day is close at hand. I'm looking forward to the New Year holidays.

Today, I’m going to write about my favorite time of year. My favorite time of year is from the end of January to the beginning of February. My birthday is January 29 and my brother’s birthday is February 4. Birthdays of three people of my family are included during this one week. Last one of the birthday is my father. My father’s birthday is January 31. Therefore, my family is able to eat many cakes during this one week! Somebody of my family buys cakes and my young sister and my young brother cooks cakes. So I’m very very happy!! I love handmade cakes of my young sister and my young brother. Those cakes are very delicious! Sometimes, I cook cakes on the birthday of my father and my brother, too. However, I’m not good at cooking, so I often buy cake. I’m happy that I eat cakes with my whole family!

Hi! I like to go out in fall. Fall is my favorite season because weather is good and view is awesome. That's why I like to go out in fall. I like the time that I take my dog to walk in fall. This time makes me really happy. The weather in not too hot also not too cold. I really like it. 

I enjoy this time with my dog. She has never left me if I don't hold lead. So I sometimes go outside to play with my dog. I feel so happy. There are many green places near my house, so there are always many dogs and their owners. I like talk with the people who take the dogs to walk. Also their dogs are so cute. I am healed these dogs. I think, my dog also likes fall because she looks really happy to go out in fall. There are many fallen leaves on the ground. She always walk on the fallen leaves. She likes that sound I think.

I like new year. Because I'll be able to be rich person. My family and relative family give me money every new year. It's japanese tradition. My family has only me and my sister so we are gave a lot of money by my families. New year has a lot of funny things. For example, I go to the shrine to sound a bell mid night. I go to the shrine for playing my first visits of the year. I haven't own religion but I usually go to the shrine. This is also japanese tradition. I am going to write about if I could back in time, what would I do? I think that it is very difficult question, because whenever have good points. If I could go back in time, I want to go back to an elementally school student, because I want to play many kinds of sports. Actually, I am not good at to play sports, for example, I cannot play basketball, baseball, tennis, and soccer. I am not good at play basketball in particular. I could not think that I try to new sports. I think that I could try to new things, when I was young easily. Also, I cannot play instruments. I cannot play any instruments. Sometimes, I longing person who can play any instruments, for example, Akari and Ayaka. They are very cool! However, I have no regret my experience, because I can any other sports, for example, volleyball, ski, and badminton. I like to do sports!

Today, I’m going to write about if I could go back in time, what would I do? If I could go back in time, I want to go back to an elementary school student. When I was an elementary school student, I could play with my friends without being worried about the time! I want to play without being worried about the time!! Now, I have been always pressed for time. That is really tiring. I want to pass every day just as I please. I want to spend my time without being tied up at time. In addition, I was able to spend every day happily satisfied when I was an elementary school student. Moreover, I was able to make up to parents. Hello, I want to write about If I could go back in time, what would I do? I want to back to a kid garden. There was no homework. I have a lot of homework now. I do my homework in the after school. If I could go back the past,I wanna go back last year. I was third grade of high school. Most people in Japan say that third grade of high school is hard to live because we have to study for enter exam. I have to do too but I really enjoyed last year. I had many friends in highschool and cramming school. I was very happy about that. I always try hard because I was surrounded by many friends. After enter exam,I went back to the brass band club. I was very happy about that too. Now,I can't meet the highschool friends and cramming school friends easily. They are busy to go to university or part time job. I wanna see them. I want to go back to time that I was third grade. In this time, I lived in Taiwan. I went to Taipei Japanese School. I could do everything that I want to do. I had never thought about money and time. Of course, I was young. But this time was so much fun. I belonged in Track and Feald club. So I had run everyday. Also I danced everyday. My school built next to American School, so I sometimes went there when they had festivals. Taiwan is different from Japan. So everything was exciting. If I could stay longer, I would change my mind. I wanted to study English more until this time. 

However, if I could return the time, I wouldn't change. I think. I should spend time more importantly. I sometimes think about I want to return this time. But I don't want to do it. I spend time like money.

Blog Assignment #48 by Kanae

On Saturday, we went to Mike’s house, Miss Laura’s, the riverfront Amphitheater and Twin City Produce with ACE students. Moreover, we saw the replica of ships. Those names are Niña and Pinta. Niña and Pinta were two of the three ships used by Columbus in his first voyage to the America. I like history, so I was able to see those replica, I was very impressed. They were small than I had imagined. I thought that it was great to have sailed across the Atlantic. I want to watch Santa María sometime! Other place were very interesting, too!! Mike’s house was wonderful in particular. There are many wonderful antiques in Mike’s house. I thought that I want to live in a house like this! The hotdogs that I ate there was delicious. It became a great memory!
After that, we joined Haunted Union. We opened a booth of shooting game. Many children were enjoyed it. I was a little tired, but I was glad! I was sorry that I was not able to go to other booths.
On Sunday, we participated in Snack fest. I talked with a variety of people. Cookies were delicious!
I had a good weekend!!

This weekend, I had a good day. On Saturday, I went to Mike's house. There arer so many pictures and sculptures in his house. Also there was the Japanese works, too. The house was big and pretty! I took many pictures! He took me Miss Laura's, the riverfront Amphitheater and showed me ships. Also I went to fresh fruits and vegetables store. The ships are Nina and Pinta. It was freaking me out because it was so small!! But, I was happy to see them! At noon, I ate hotdogs. It was so good! It was cooked on bonfire. After that, I joined Hauoted Union. I worked on game place that kids play. I told how to do. The chopsticks gun and then, I gave the kids candies! It wasn't easy. Because I don't know how to say. But the kids enjoyed! So I felt happy!! Finally, I went to Haunted House after that. I've never been to American Haunted House, so I was so excited! It was high quality!! I think it different from Japan!! I want to try other Haunted house!

On Saturday,I went to Miss Laura's, the riverfront Amphitheater,Mike's house and I visited the replica Nana and Pinta discovery ships visiting Fort Smith with ACE students,Mike and Kiley.In Miss Laura's,I learned history.It is important for us.I interested in about history.I watched the replica Nana and Pinta discovery ships visiting Fort Smith.The ship was very cool.I took a many picture.It is wonderful.In Mike's house,there are many paintings and artwork. The paintings are very very beautiful.I like the paintings of his house.And there is stained glass in his house.It is beautiful and mysterious.I want it in my house.At Saturday night,we went to Haunted Union in Campus Center.We had a booth,and many children came to our booth.It was very fun.In Sunday,I went to snack festival,and I talked with some American families.I had great time.

I am going to write about this weekend. On Saturday, I went to Mike’s house and a lot of place that relate about history of America. I explained about history, but it was difficult for me little bit. I saw the ships about Colombo’s ships. Then, we went to fresh vegetable and fruit shop. There was such shop in my hometown. I enjoyed to see. After that, I ate hotdogs in Mike’s house. It was very good! I found that Mike has a lot of friends. He is very friendly man. I like his house, because there are a lot of an art objects. I love art, but I did not know detailed. When I see an art objects, I thought many things. I like that time! I had been believe to see an art objects that people is influenced for good effects. Art makes the heart improve. I want to go again!

Hello, I want to write about my last weekend. I was so busy. I went to Mike's house in the last Saturday. I saw many things. There many antique they're. We went to many places. I saw a couple of ships. Those are named Nina and Pinta. It was a rebuke. I could not believe that those ships made a voyage from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the United States of America. I thought those were bigger ships. We went to the museum. We ate hot dogs. It was so great. I went to The Haunted Mansion in the evening. The sound was scary. It was a spring surprise for a person. Konnyaku is sometimes used as a fun item to frighten people in a haunted house or in a place of a test of courage in Japan. I had a great time. I want to go there again.

I enjoyed this weekend. On Saturday ,I had a lot of schedule. At first, I went to the Macdonald for breakfast. I ate egg marine. It was more expensive than Japan so I was surprised. Next,we saw the replica of ship which was ride by Columbus when he arrived America. It's very cool. I went to the mike's house. His house is so big I thought its like a castle. I ate hotdogs there and met three Michel there! I talked a lot I enjoyed very much. After that, I joined the haunted union. I held the gun game booth. Many children came there. Children looks funny so I'm happy too. I wanna go to the haunted house but I really enjoy. On Sunday ,I went to the snackfesta and I talked with my host family. I had a good time there. I hope  next weekend will happy!

I am going to write about 3 words of myself. I think that 1^st is “books”. I like reading books. It is one of the hobby. I read many books until now. I could read any kinds of books. However, I could not read horror novels. Also, I could not watch horror movie. 2^nd words is “winter”. I love winter. I like play any winter sports. I had ski sense I was elementary school student. So, I had been skiing about 12 years! Then, I am good at skiing. I want to ski with ACE students. I want to do snowboard. I had never do snowboard. Ayaka said that she could do snowboard. I like everything. I am picky about what I eat. In these days, my weight, begun increase. I must get food which one is healthier one. I try to eat. I hope so that. I was worried about that I could eat American food, because it is famous for us that's not good food. Some of people bring us to it to make us happy. I like to play many things. I like to play sports. I like to sing a song. If I could that I want to play every day. I want to do like that. I must study hard. I thought I can study now. I try to do my best.

If I had to describe myself using only three words, I choose “white”, “warehouse” and “chocolate.”
My name is Kanae Shirakura. “Shira” write the kanji that the meaning is “white” in Japanese. In addition, “kura” write the kanji that the meaning is “warehouse” in Japanese. Therefore, white warehouse is Shirakura! These two words were able to introduce my last name!
The reason why I chose “chocolate” as it is different from two other words. Chocolate is the food which I like most!!! If there isn’t chocolate, I’m not able to live. Therefore, I chose “chocolate.” However, I’m not able to pronounce chocolate well. For example, today, I went to Starbucks by my class of Carly. I always order hot chocolate, but the shop assistant didn’t understand the thing that I said to the shop assistant at once. I’m sad about that. Then, UAFS tutors taught us how to pronounce “chocolate.” So, I want to have a shop assistant understand it at once next week!

These are the motto of my life so I may be not able to describe myself. Life is only one time so I should enjoy my first and last life. I love enjoying things. I love talking with my friends,joining a lot of event,take selfy,and so on. I really enjoy to stay America. I chose to go to America to study abroad because it sounds fun. Smile is also my motto in life. I like me who always be smile. Smile makes me always happy. Smile has many power. Almost people in the world like smile person. Not angry and negative person so I always smile when I stand hard position. And happy is my motto too. I'm happy. I want to be more happy and I want many people to be happy. Moon, Disney princess, Runa 

are my three words. My name Tsukina 's Tsuki means moon in Japan. So I like moon and things of moon. So, I chose this word. Actually, Disney princess is two words. Lol Anyway, I love Disney princess so much. So I have princess goods also I want to be loke a princess!

Finally, Runa is my adorable dog. She is so cute. She is my everything! The life that without her is not my life also not bright. Maybe I can't feel alive.  I need Runa in my life. Also Runa and my name Tsukina are similar!! 

It is hard to choose three words that describe myself. I have many favorite things and  interested things. I thought money, makeup so on! I think it's important to introduce my self in many ways.

I am going to write about The International Tea Time. I joined second time. When I had join The International Tea Time, I talked a few people. I felt a lot of fun and it was very beneficial for me to join The International Tea Time. I ate some deserts and I drunk coca. I like coca, but I heard that it is not good at for health to drink kinds of soda. I am careful sometimes. However, it was very delicious. I got some buttons. The buttons that it was written some greeting by some language. I felt happy! I like such buttons. I think bring to japan! I talked some people. I had talked a girl who talked with the before time. I remember her name and her remember my name. I can speak English getting better. However, I could not come up with words. I want to increase words.

Hi! Inter national tea time was so fun because I talked new friends! First, I talked with a girls who was really friendly. She is interested in make up. So we connected as Facebook friend.

Next, I talked with madam. She was so nice and kind. 

Also I talked with my tutor, Gyao. We meet everyday, but we don't talk so much. So I was glad to talk with her! I talked about also makeup. I'm going to buy cosmetics. She knows well about this cosmetics! So I asked many questions. She and I are Asian, so we have same worry about our face. She told me many advice. I want to talk more with her also our tutors!

Also I talked with Vitamin. I already know him. He always shows me magic! Also yesterday, he showed me easy magic. That was fun. 

I was happy to talk with many friends during eat snacks!

Today, I’m going to write about International Tea Time. I participated in International Tea Time yesterday. It was the second time. The first time, we participated in the Peace Poetry event before International Tea Time. So we were able to participate in International Tea Time only 20 minutes. However, this time, we were able to participate from first to last. I really enjoyed that! There were a lot of sweets and juice. I ate cupcakes and I drank hot cocoa. I love hot cocoa, but I endured to drink cocoa after coming to the America. I was able to take cocoa after a long time. So I was very happy!! At first, we played a game. I was a little nervous, but I talked to many people. After that, I talked with my friend. I had very enjoyable time, but I was not able to provide topics from myself. I’m reflecting. I want to talk more! My vocabulary is limited, so I have to increase vocabulary!

Hello, I want to write about last teatime. I could not join it at the first teatime, because we went to the pome contest, and we late for it. We didn't have as much time to walk with people. It has been just fifteen minutes. The last night was so excited I could talk with many people. We talk about own self, own major, how to think about America, movies and games. I didn't know about that Mounter Hunter is made from Japan. I thought it was a more popper in the word. Nobody knows about it. I often play it when I was a high school student. It is so fan, I cannot help with I have a free time. We have talked goes well about science. All people are science students. We got really lively. In the end, they started a discussion about science. It was a chicken and egg situation. I had a great time, and it was a lot of fun for me. I like it very much. I want to do this again.

I attended the international tea time from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. I didn't enjoy last time but this time I enjoyed very much. We did scaventure hunt at first. I asked many people. And I got cun budges. All cun budges say "I love you "in many languages. But Japanese and Korean language didn't exist so I was shock. I ate two small cup cakes and cookie. I drank hot tea. There were many people and I drank hot tea is I became so hot. My friend Lisa she is American, has ojyamajyodoremi's key holder. I love this character. I used to watching when I was a child is I was very excited. I think American more know many anime than me so I was surprised. I met Michel there. He lives in the same lions den as me. So it's funny. I met tangh tangh too. He is so funny and cute guy. I was happy to meet many friends.
