Blog Assignment #19 by Kanae

Japan has a long history. So there are many traditional cultures in Japan. I think that to be polite is one of the important tradition in Japan. I’m proud of Japanese manner.
For example, a politeness characteristic of the Japanese is wait my turn, and don't break into the line. It was reconfirmed by the Great East Japan Earthquake. The Japanese people had lined up to call with a public telephone and buy merchandise at the convenience when the Great East Japan Earthquake happened. It became the topic in the world.
Also, the custom of bowing is peculiar to Japan. The bow is the manner that is important for Japanese. The bow has various meanings. Japanese many students bow to a teacher in the beginning and end of the class. Foreigner probably feel that the behavior is strange scene. I bow to a foreigner by mistake. It’s natural in Japan, but I want to quit it in America.
