Valentine’s
day in Japan, We always celebrated this day like an American but there are many
difference. First, Girls gives chocolate for own family and own boyfriend and
own friends in Japan but boys never gives chocolate for girls so boys
absolutely gives back chocolate to girls on March 14th if boys gave
it. I heard everyone gives chocolate for anyone in here so I was surprise.
Second, Today’s young girl people in Japan, It’s popular to give chocolate just
between girls more than girls and boys. We called this act “Tomochoco” in
Japan. “Tomo” mean is “friend” and “Choco” mean is “chocolate”. I always make
chocolate, cookies and muffin and bring it at my school for girls on January 14th.
Third, I heard everyone gave roses bouquet in here. I felt what a beautiful
custom in America!! I want to it from my favorite person. Japanese are
generally not good at expressing love so Valentine’s Day is good day to
Japanese. I’m so happy because I can spend of Valentine’s Day in America. Happy
Early Valentine’s Day!!
