My favorite place is Gion of Kyoto in Japan.Gion is famous sightseeing spot in Japan.I have been to there several times.there is a lot of old buildings,and tea house (we called it Chaya),and Japanese style confectionary store.When I go to Gion,I 'm the most interested in Geisha.Geisha are professional entertainers who attend guests during meals,banquets and other other occasions.They are trained in various traditional Japanese arts,such as dance and music,as well as in the art of communication.Their role is to make guests feel at ease with conversation,drinking games and dance performance.They are very beautiful.I think Gion is the place that we can feel Japanese culture the most.It is nice place.Gion is quite and tranquil place,so This place has a calming effect.

My favorite place is Okinawa of Japan. My
parents have liked traveling since before I was born, and my parents also like
Okinawa. So I went to Okinawa many times since I was child. I went to not only
main island of Okinawa but also small islands. Under the influence, I love
Okinawa. There were many choices to the destination of the school trip when I was
a high school student, but I chose Okinawa. I love Okinawa about that much. I especially
like Miyako-jima, because the sea of Miyako-jima is very pretty! I think that
the last time I went to Miyako-jima was when I was an elementary student. I want
to go to Miyako-jima again!! I want to see the beautiful sea. In addition, I want
to swim there.
Then I like the traditional food of Okinawa. I like taco filling and rice, Okinawa soba and sata andagi!

My favorite place is library. I like reading books. I think that the library is good place for students. The library have a lot of books. When I was elementary school student, I always read books. I always went to library to rent books. I read one book in a week. I ask for teacher to buy books which is interested in novels. When I was school girl, I always in the library. Finally, I became a student librarian's top. After that, I became junior high school student. I belonged volleyball team, but I often read books. I wanted to be a student librarian, but I did not want to be a student librarian's top, because it was very hard for me to work the tasks. However, I must be a student librarian's top. It was very hard tasks, but I enjoyed the tasks different in my school girl. That's why, library is most important for me!

Hello, I want to write about my favorite place to visit today. I want to be visiting Italy.
There are some reasons which purport with this opinion.
First, Italy has many places to visit to see. I want to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Pisa is a city in north central Italy. It is a tall round marble campanile in Pisa that is not perpendicular, so it is far out of plumb. I heard that some of the Italians guyed the Tower of Pisa to prevent it from collapsing.
Second, I love Italian food like pizza and pasta. I find Italian food very desirable. I want to learn how to cook Italian food there. I don't know that tomato ketchup is an American seasoning and is not commonly used in cooking in Italy. I was surprised that there is no such pasta dish as Napolitan in Italy, but spaghetti alla Amatriciana in Italian cuisine is relatively closer in taste to Japanese Spaghetti Naporitan.
I really long to visit there.

Hi! I want to visit the places which are registered in the World Heritage. These places have natural power like negative ion or spiritual. I've never been to like these places even Mt. Fuji. Recently, people looks so busy and they have no time to relax I think. They need to visit beautiful place to relax. The most my favorite place is Alberobello that in Italy. Its all building is white. It's too beautiful. It was registered in 1996. There are the people who live in here. It's used living house. I want to visit once. Also I want to go to Italy because there are so many decisions food and beautiful place. I like Italy's cityscape. It reminds old buildings and old cityscape. It looks so pretty. There are many places not only Alberobello but also other places are registered in World Heritage in Italy. I really want to visit Italy to wach beautiful places.

My favorite place is childhood friend's house,because this place is my second house. My parents work hard everyday,so I usually went to his house. His hous is near to the school. Icould hear Chaim's sounds and get out of school's song. I love these sounds. Get out of school's song is used in princes mononoke. I also like the space's atmosphere. His mother and father always kind they loved me like real mother and father. I love my real parents of course,but they are also my parents. I always go to this house from school and my real parents back to my house,I went to my house. I was used to play with my childhood friend and my sister and his brother,so I often go to the house when I'm in very low spirit. This house is my memory solace.

Blog Assignment #28 by Sai
On Saturday, I went to some places to learn
about Arkansas with ACE students, koko, mako, and Mike. First, we went to MacDonald.
I bought bacon and egg burgur. It was the first time of order myself. I was
very nervous, but I could order. I felt happy. Second, we went to farmers
market. There were many objects. I was interested in many kinds of jam. I tried
to eat. It was very delicious, but little expensive. There were many
vegitables, for example, pumpkins, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, and so on. There were
many people. I want to go there again. Third, we went to 2 museums. I can learn
about Arkansas history. I watched gun, jail, clothes, and many rooms. We took
many pictures. I like that pictures. I ate BLT and fresh fried. It was very
good! I like it. I paid tip when my first time. I enjoyed looking many things
on Saturday!

Good evening! This weekend, I went to the museum and farm market with Mike, Carly and ACE!!
First, we went to McDonald's. It was for the first time to visit McDonald's. Little different from Japan. There are many $1.00 foods and many kinds of drinks. Then, we went to farm market. There were free kitty's and many fresh vegetables. We watched Mike's big house. It was so cute!! After that, we went to Arkansas history museum. I learned many history of Arkansas also I was proud of to came to here. And after that, we went to American history museum. I took many pictures of my friends and little princess. I had a wonderful time! After trip, I went to Vietnamese house to eat dinner. I ate rice, chicken and soup. They're always make us delicious meal. On Sunday, I went to Vietnamese house again to eat dinner. We ate curry and rice.
I apent good day this weekend!

On Saturday, I went to a lot of place with
Mike, Koko, Mako, Carly, Noelle and Oberlin students. Mike made a schedule, so
we went to 2nd Street Farmer’s Market downtown, then to National
Historic Site, the Gallows, the Museum of History and the Diner for Lunch. I’d
been looking forward to this day a lot, because I like American history and
American culture!
After we went to Farmer’s Market, we met American who wore old American clothes. I was excited, then I took pictures! It turned out to be good memorial!!
Moreover, the Museum of History was a very memorable place! There were the old United States in the Museum of History. I was impressed. I thought that I can look at that for hours. I want to come here again after I studied American history more.
I learned a lot from that! I had lots of fun, so it became a good memory!
On Sunday, We cooked curry rice at Jack’s house. It was very delicious, so I remembered Japan. I wanted to eat Japanese food!

Hello, I want to talk about my weekend today. We took a trip to National Historic Site and Grand Slam. I could not understand why should we go to the prison site at the first time. I found the prison site was turned into a park and a museum. I was tensed, then, because I heard many ghost story which is the motif of the prison. There is so clean and a lot of historical things were shown. I could learn many things in there. I walked to the FORT SMITH MUSEUM OF HISTORY. There is shown many things. I was enjoying seeing it. Especially, I was glad to see the typography. I think it is important for our lives and history. We can buy books easily. It could mass books. I went to the hamburger shop. That shop was the old style. I ate a chili hamburger. It was so good. I want to go there again. I went to many places that I could not all about it. I had a great time.

Trolley is like retro train.It is so cute and interesting.In National Historic Site,I looked Hell on the border jail,courtroom,commissary and gallows.It is very important place.I was able to learn a lot of history there.We ate lunch at Boomerang.Boomerang is like a train.I had a fun time.

Saturday,I went to the museum trip with ACE friends ,Mike ,koko,and mako. At first,we went to the street farmers market. I saw many homemade breads,pumpkins,vegetables,and free cats there,and I met Japanese lady. She said come to my home and I'll make you miso soup,fishes and so on. I really wanna go her house!! After that we went to the national historical site. I saw gallows,hell on the border jail,Arkansas river and railway. We took pictures there,it's looks like stand by me said my father. After that we went to the diner to eat lunch. I ate humberger there. It's very good!! I thought it was American taste. We went back to my home, and went to jack's house to eat dinner with many friends. I enjoyed. At midnight,Oberlin friends celebrated my birthday. I was very happy. Sunday,many friends celebrated my birthday,and I cooked curry rice with friends at jacks house. I had very good my birthday. I hope next weekend happy.

Blog Assignment #27 by Kanae
It’s hard to make friends for me, because I’m
not able to talk with persons well. Therefore I asked my friend who was good at
a conversation, “How can I get good at my conversation?” She said me that it’s
necessary for you to become a good listener. All the people have a desire to
want to hear my story to you. It’s important not to shout out the talk of the
friend. So I make an effort to be able to chime in well. In addition, I think
that it’s important to say my opinion clearly, also. Japanese are said to be
bad at stating their opinion clearly, and I too. I intend to respect the opinion
of my friend. However, it may become the opposite effect. It’s necessary for me
to get over my character! Based on these, I want to make new friends here. I want
to talk to American fearlessly.

I think that it is the greatest method for
us to meet a lot of people. Therefore, we should go to place which is exist a
lot of people. I think that it is able to talk directly. We will enjoy to talk
each other. This university hold a lot of events. I like those events. When I come
here, I went to watch movie. Then, the girl talk us. We was very surprised and I
cannot talk like always. I regretted that time, but I can talk better now. I want
to talk a lot of people. Actually, I am not good at talk with new people. However,
I want to talk that situation. I always practiced every day. I think that I have
good time in America. When I have to homework which is we have to interview two

I want to write about the most effective way to meet new people. I think there is no answer. I will write my opinion. If you met the new person, please smile with a gentle mien. I am often said that I was begin like time which of my facial expression to be calm in my behavior. I don't think so.
Some of my friends said to me that "I was puzzled by your facial expression when I met you the fist time." And they continue to say that "You make a serene expression on your face now, I am healed just by you being near me." I had the condition of realizing something with a start and being startled when I was heard the first time, and I began happy. So, I try to begin make sailed on my face. It is difficult for me, but I have to do it.

The most effective way to meet new people is to say “Hello,How are you?”I think It's important that everyone to say hello,how are you?because though the this ward,we begins a conversation! In America,when I said“ hello how are you? ”to people who don't know,Everyone said “hello I'm 〜,How are you?”It is communication! Sometimes,people say to today's plan,holiday plan,about the class...I feel fun that conversation with people.In Japan,almost people don't talk to a person who don't know.I think Japanese is talk to acquaintances or person with the relation.It is different culture,but I think It's important that to conversation with everyone.I can make friends through these wards.I want to try to conversation more.

The most effective way is to ask someone and ask about them. If I do these things in Japan, I can't do. But American is friendly, so I can do that. First, I ask a people name and major. Also I ask this weekend or last weekend. Then, I ask a people's favorite and interesting things. Sometimes I take picture with them. Already we became friend. I make friends at Cumps Center. There are many people in there. Here is not class room, so the people who stay here is during brake time. So I can ask a people easily.
I couldn't ask a people when I came here. But now, little by little, I can ask a people something. My English is poor. But there are a lot of students who help me. I want to be a more good English speaker to talk my American friends.

I think the most effective way to meet new people is to be smile. I think almost people feel nervous when they meet new people. Being smile can people feel calm and easy to talk. Nobody hate smile person normary,so I think this way is the best. When you talk to new people,you should hear their story. It's important to become friends them. I glad new people to hear my story. I was surprised that people smile when they and I passed each other. If I'm smiling when I and somebody passed each other in Japan, people will be scared of me maybe. But people smiling to me is very comfortable,so I often smiling when I passed each other somebody. It's very funny. However you smile to anyonn is dangourous I think. You should not be smile when you meet new bad person.

I want to write about my favorite movie’s
introduced short movie. The Movie’s name is “Death in Venice”. I introduced
this Blog a few days ago. I like this movie. I knew this movie when I was
junior high school student. I read many novels in the school. When I read one
book, I knew this movie. It is very shamed that I forgot that novel’s name, but
I want to find in my memories. The characters very attractive for me. The boy
was very beautiful. I saw he at the first time, I told that “how beautiful is
he!” . I like this movie. The old man who is conductor
fall in love the beautiful boy, but he just looking long time. The town spread disease.
Finally, the old man died. I cannot stop keeping tears. I was very moved this

He is so cute isn't it?i think this baby is impressed by his mother,because his mothers sing song is very very beautiful and great. I'm interested in other thing too. Good evening. I always listen to my favorite pop music if I feel bad and tired. Also I'm dancing. Now, I'm so tired, so I'm writing this blog while listening to music. Also sometimes dance. To move body helps us health. So dance and listen to music is killing two birds with one stone. If I feel sad because I fail something, I'll talk to my friends about that and then I am encouraged by my friends. I think to talk something for someone is good way for eliminate stress. I always do that. So I've never kept stress. To encourage me is not work. I encourage me because it is good for me. No stress is making good life. To control myself is not easy but we should do that. About 2 months have passed since I came to
the America. When I just came to the America, I was full of uneasiness. Can I
hear English? Can I speak English? Am I afraid of American? Can I get along
well with my roommate? Are the American foods delicious? Etc. When I get
nervous my stomach hurts. So, I was concerned about my mental condition before
I came to the America. When I just came here, I was sleeping with my stomach
hurting. Then, when going through hard times, I sleep well. I feel refreshed
when I sleep. I change my mood by sleeping.
In Japan, I read a lot of novels. My favorite author writes this novels. When I read this novels, I feel sooooooo happy!! All the unpleasant things disappear!!

I'm usually encouraged by my family,friends,and my sweet dog. However, when I feel down down down,I write on dialy about myself ,cry ,running,dancing,and listen to my special music. To write on paper about myself is very good way to encourage myself because my troubles went out and I become refresh. To cry is good way too,because my troubls flow with tear. However I hate lose so I cry rare. Running and dancing make my feeling reset,and then I can smile again. My special music is "comets",because this song is the most memorial for me. Hello, I will write about how to encourage myself today. How did you do when you in blue? I have like feeling when I have much homework to do in a day or have an argument with other people. I don't want to have a stress, but we cannot live without it. We must find the answer that is acting in order to relieve some of our stress. I listen to music and play tennis. Especially, I love singing. Many Japanese like singing. There is more popular karaoke than here, because room charge is cheaper than here and many stores in there. There is not much ground to build attraction like an amusement park. On the other hand, karaoke store doesn't need large ground to build. People cannot sing in their house, because there is a densely populated region. I think there are a lot of outdoor sports in here. Playing sport is good for your health. I want to play more sports in here.

Blog Assignment #24 by Sai
I went to safari zoo on Saturday. I watched
many animals, for example, zebra, lion, tiger, giraffe, camel, monkey, pig, and
black bear, kangaroo, goat and etc. I had never been to the safari zoo. It is
my first time to go to safari zoo. I enjoyed watching a lot of animals in the
car. I felt interesting, because we able to see in the car. It is fresh for me.
I took a lot of pictures. I touched baby lion. It was very small and cute. Hair
is very soft. I felt happy. On Sunday, I went to kayak. Also, I had never
kayaking. First, I felt very anxious because it is possible to fall in the
water. I afraid of fall in the water. However, I rode the kayak, I felt very
comfortable. Ayaka and I rode on the same kayak. It was very fun. She took a
lot of pictures. I want to do again.

I went to Wild Wilderness Drive Though
Safari Inc. on Saturday. There were many kinds of animals in the Safari zoo.
For example, African lion, black bears, ligers, foxes, etc. Those animals were
very cute, especially zebras! By the drive-through, I rode the car together
with the children. I was very fun! We became close! The area of the Japanese
zoo is narrow. In contrast, the American zoo was very spacious. I felt that
animals spent time freely.
Also, I joined the Lake Kayaking Adventure on Sunday. I’d been looking forward to this day a lot, because this is the first time that I challenged kayaking. At first, I was very afraid that I might fall from the kayak. However, that was so fun when used to water! That became a great experience. My lower back hurts today!
We took a lot of pictures for two days. So this weekend became a good memory to me!!

On Saturday,I went tthe safari zoo.There were monkey,zebra,camel,hippopotamus,lion tiger and giraffe etc..in the zoo! There were so many animals!! I saw the animals in the car.The animals approached near a car,so I was able to saw animals at very near distance.The camel is very big,so I was a little scary.We get out of a car,and I touched goat,donkey and pig.And I fed animals.They are very pretty.I was happy that I could take a picture together with the animals! I think that Baby Lion was the cutest animals on Saturday.Baby lion playing with puppy.It was so cute!!On Sunday,I went to the kayaking.I looked forward to kayaking,but when I got on kayak,I was a little scared.because,the kayak was unstable.but that day's kayaking was so exciting !There were a lot of nature.very beautiful place there.I like there!I used the power to row a kayak,so my arm's muscles were sore.This weekend was a very satisfying.

Hi. I spent the wonderful time this weekend. On Saturday, I went to the Safari Zoo. I've never been to such a Safari Zoo. I've been to only Zoo. Safari Zoo was so fantastic because there are many kind of wild animals. For example, lion, tiger, wolf and black bear. I saw white tiger. It was so cute and beautiful. After around the zoo, we went to the area that touch animals. There were pig, goat, kangaroo and many small animals. Then we touched baby lion. It was very cute. For the first time I touched baby lion. I was so happy. 
On Sunday, I went to the lake to ride kayaking. I've never rode kayak so I was little scared. But, it was so fun. I could ride easily. To use kayak was very complicated. But it was fun. Also very tired. My arm was little sore. It became my best memory!

Hello, I want write about one of my last weekend today. My classmate, some of students and I went to Wild Wildderness Drive Througn Safari INC. There are many animals are in there. We see animals drive througn. That was the first time that I went to the safari zoo. I saw animals and took pictures. There are two children in our cars. They are so excited to see it. One of my friends was so excited with see animal with children. The girl took many pictures of us. Almost picture was defocus, but a few picture came out well in photograph. There are many deer in there. I saw white deer in the first time. It was so beautiful. These are thought that white deer is let us happily. I has a wonderful time in there. I want to go there again. If it could be go around with children.

I enjoyed this weekend. On Saturday,I I went to the safari driving zoo with international friends and BCM people. I have never been to driving zoo,so I was very excited !!! I saw a lot of animals there. For example,I saw deers,zebras,ostriches,camels,monkeys,moles,wolfs,tigers etc...in the car. After that,I touched kangaroos,houses,baby lion and dogs family. I love animals so I was very happy!!! Kangaroos hair was soft,I felt calm. I become to want to meet my dog. After I came back to my dorm,I ate ramen noodle,chicken,with Mari,Ayaka,Ayaka,Tsukina. On sanday, I went to the lake for kayaking. I rode a kayak with Tskina. We weren't able to kayak at first but Sai told us,so we become very well maybe. I enjoyed very much but I was tired too. I want to rest more next weekend.
