Assignment # 55

If you come to UAFS, you should find American friends who have a car because if you don’t have a car, UAFS is inconvenience and kind of boring. But if you have American friends who have a car, UAFS is interest and fun. There is nothing around the UAFS but Fort Smith has a lot of interest place. And you should talk a lot with American friends because American people like talking. So if you can’t speak English, American people are no angry. They are kind and friendly. But if you make someone angry, you should apologize to someone and you should run away quickly. Lol Anyway, I think you should make American friends quickly. It’s kind of difficult but it’s very important. I regret that I don’t make friends quickly because hang out is very fun! I think you should absolutely hang out with American friends because it’s really really fun! You should experience that!

Assignment#55

  I really recommend going to UAFS to other people. Today, I would like to introduce my experience from UAFS. When I decided studying abroad, I wished improving my English skills only, but in UAFS, I could learn not only English but also American culture because our program had a class of American culture, so if a next Ace student come to UAFS, they should prepare to learn about American culture. And then, you should talk with your roommate very much because if you do not do that, American people will think Japanese people are like very quiet. I did not talk with my roommate enough, so I thought that I wish I could talk with them enough. I regret I did not do that. I also think a homework is really not important, but you have to do your homework because if a homework is nothing, you will be getting lazy, and also to do homework is that you can get used to English. I mean you should talk with American people very much more than to do homework, but you have to do homework definitely.

Assignment#55

I have something to say future Ace student. First, please treasure each day. 3months went by so fast. I was fun every day. I thought I would not want to go back to Japan. Studying abroad is not that easy to get to. It is a valuable experience.

 Next thing is talk a lot of with the local people. It is to study and talk with local people.

It is good thing.

 Next thing is take Japanese food. I brought miso soup and Japanese snack. Japanese food is better than American food. Japanese food has become miss many times. I think Japanese food is essential.

 Finally thing is cherish the friends. I have 12 friends. There are Oberlin student. I trust and love there. They helped me a lot. I am grateful to everyone.

If you wondering you should go to study abroad. I recommend studying abroad. Good things.

To a future ACE Student

I am going to give two advises about how to make your experience even better.

The first advice is not to be afraid making mistakes. The first I came here, I thought I have to talk with my friends using correct sentences, so I did not speak to other people. This is because I was afraid making mistakes. However, I tried to speak to other people if I use not correct sentences and only word. As a result, Now, I do not speak English enough, but I talk with many students.

The second advice is smiling. Smiling make people happy. If you look so sad, almost people do not want to talk with you. If you look so happy, almost people want to talk with you. I think smiling is more important than English, because it is the basis of communication.  

The third advice is enjoying. Probably, you will encounter many difficulties. However, when you overcome them, you will enjoy this program more.

Assignment#55

The overseas education is very fun. You should study abroad if you have an itch to study abroad. I think study abroad is an enriching experience for students and we can avail ourselves of the opportunity to go and study abroad in our future. I could learn many American cultures at overseas education. There are only things on America.

You are probably afraid to speak English in the beginning, but you will gradually change yourself. You are not afraid to speak English, and you are not to make a mistake. Also American people are very kind, so they help you if you are badly bunkered. You will be able to spend in a joyful way.
If you study abroad, you should bring as many Japanese items as possible. If you bring many Japanese items, you teach American people Japan and give them Japanese item. They will be interested in Japan.

              If I can give advice to future ACE students, I have three advices to them.

              First, you must talk English in the class room. All Obirin students study together in the ACE class. We often talk in Japanese. I think it was bad things. Also you have American roommate, so you should talk with them a lot.  

              Second, do not be shy. You have only three month, it was very fast for me. I have a little regret. I think I should talk more with my American friend. I try talk with American people in anywhere. It was exciting. I want to know that more early.

              Third, you bring a lot of Japanese things for example, Yukata, Origami and some Japanese package. We joined design class, we wanted a lot of Japanese package. And also we had international festival, so I wanted wear Yukata. However, I did not know that.

Hi! This is Minami. I’m going to write about my experience here for future ACE students. I have some advice and I want to say! Since I came to here, I did a lot of things and I could gain precious experience in Arkansas. I could go to many places during three month. for example, I went to Hiking, Little Rock, Kayaking, Orlando in spring break. There were precious memories for me.  I made a lot of friends. I try to talk with American people. American people are so kind and friendly, my roommate too. She always talks to me and makes me happy. I like her and I trust her! So don’t be shy! You have to talk with friends! If you can get good friends, good friends take you everywhere! Listen carefully! Maybe, You will be gain weight. I have gained fore kilograms since I came to here. but I don’t care! Because every day is very fulfilling!!!
