              First, I think next ACE students should live in Lion’s Den. This is because there are many benefits. First, there are going to be more chances to talk with American students than Commons. Next, there are more events than commons. Many events are good opportunity I hang out with as many American students for us. Last, the Wi-Fi in Lion’s Den is better than Commons. I had very hard time with communicating with my family in Japan.

               Next, if there were many students we should separate the class. It is because many of us spoke in Japanese. I know that this is our fault but for next people will appreciate this. Also, if we separate the class, there are going to be few students in the class so they have more chance to speak in the class.
              However, I had wonderful time in UAFS and I learned many things in here. At last, what I want to say for future students are that they have to try many things if they have chance.

I think before I came to America, I should have studied English words. When I came to America, I regretted that. That is not experience at here. But that is the biggest my regret. If I studied English words more, I can speak English more than now. Next, if I could change something, I want to talk with American more in February. When I came to America, I was afraid to speak English because I can’t speak English. I can a little understand English but I don’t have confidence at that time. Now, I regret to that. I should have talked with American more. I was weak. But now, I was fun that I go to my friend’s house every week. So I eat dinner with them and I talk a lot of topic with them. I thought I should have talk more with American friends because it was so fun!

If I could change two things about my experience here at UAFS, I want to change these things. First, I didn’t bring on a lot of Japanese item in UAFS. However I think I should have bring on Japanese item more, because I could teach American people in detail give everyone it if I have many Japanese item. Also I should have brought on a T-shirt witch is wrote down Kanji character or Hiragana. I thought American people were interested in there.

Second, I wanted to talk with my roommate more. I could sometime talk with her. However she was very busy, because she works toward a doctor. Therefore she comes back to our room late, and I go to school early. I couldn’t talk with her anytime. However I know she is kind and friendly, because I could talk with her when she goes back to our home early. Therefore I want to talk with her more!

When I came to Arkansas I could experience a lot of things. If I could change 2 things about my experience here at UAFS, First, I should learned more world history and Japanese history in japan, because in heather class now we learned about world history. But sometimes I don’t understand and I fell behind in heather class.  I can barely keep up with them. If I have knowledge of history, now I can actively work on class.

Second, I should learned more English words in Japan. When I was high school student, I gave up remembering English word because there was so boring for me. However, when I came to here I noticed the importance of the English word. If I studied vocabulary in japan, now maybe I will able to become lively conversation with foreign people. But now I enjoying Arkansas! These are my experience and my advice.

I want to change two things. First thing is I speak English more, when I came America, I can’t speak to another people to use English because I am shy. However, now I can speak to another people to use English. It is good thing but if I am not shy I speak more. I was founding myself. When I speak Japanese I was shy because when I was speak English I wasn’t shy. It is surprised for me and it is funny things. Actually I want to speak English more. I regret that things. Next thing is I learn a lot of words. For example, I speak to people I can understand talk mean but I can’t response to people because I don’t know the word. If I know the lot of word, I can conversation to people. This is my changed point.

I could change 2 things about my experience here. First, when I came to here, I talked English with particular people but it is been about 3 months since I came to UAFS, I could make a lot of friends so I could English with many American friends now. I am glad. However I think, most important thing is smile. Smile makes a good impression. I am shy and maybe my face is tired face so I must try to keep smile. Second, I have to speak English more. When I stay in class room with Japanese students, sometimes I spoke Japanese. It is very bad thing. My parents paid money so I can study in UAFS. I have to become good at English speaker so I would like to speak English only in the class room.

 I think biggest change is of cause English the most. However I have changes another 2 things that there is independence like self-help and include my weight. I live in my hometown of my house so I did not little independence from my family. For example it is wash my clothes, sometimes wake up myself and prepare for my dinner. Almost I trust my mother but I came here these things have to do myself. So I can do everything, I am very happy and it is so good. Second, I think that is improved things our class. I want to learn more grammar. Heather’s class is grammar but now we are learning American history. At first I want to learn grammar even though American history is fun too because I like world history. I think that more include grammar class. Also I think more conversation time too, if there are.

If I change two things about my experience, I want to change how to study English and how to make friends. In how to study English, I want to study English more. I have to go back to Japan at May 10 so I’m not enough to study English. When I came to Fort Smith, I wanted to be speaking English. Now I can speak English a little bit. I want to speak English more. If I come back to the past, I will have to talk with American friends more and study about English vocabulary. When I go back to Japan, I have to study English very hard. In how to make friends, I wanted to make a lot of friends. Now, I have friends but I imagined that I have many American friends when I lived in Japan. I’m sorry that I didn’t take part in various event.

              If I can change my experienced, I have two things that I want to change my experienced.

              First, I think that I want to talk with my roommate, teacher and friends more. I especially think I want to talk more with my roommate. She is very busy and her friend come our room every day so I could not talk with her enough. And also I talk with my roommate Ayu in Japanese. I think it was not good. So if I can change my experienced, I want to talk with my roommate more actively.

              Second, Now I try to talk for stranger in the cafeteria at lunch. It is very hard but it is very exciting too. However, I think it is little late know that. So if I can change my experienced, I want to try to that more early.

 However, If I did not experience that, I cannot notice something so I think every my experience was my good treasure now.

  I have spent a lot of time since I came here. I have to go back to Japan over the final 8 days. I should have done anything more and more. Today, I would like to introduce if I could change 2 things about my experience while I were studying abroad. I thought I should have talk with American friends more and more because I could not really talk with American people, so I was very afraid of American people at the beginning. If possible, I wanted one-on-one meeting American people, but it was my fault because I was afraid of talking with American people. And then, I wanted to divide Japanese people because I spent with Japanese people a lot. I felt it was fun, but it is not for improving my English skills. If possible, I wanted some systems to divide international students. Eventually, all of results was my fault because it was all of my experiences. I would like to use all the experience foe next time.

If I could change my experience since came here, I want to reduce the speak Japanese, because it is bad for me. In other words, it is prevent improve my English skills. Therefore, I should have spoken English all the time. In addition, I thought I should have brought more book and note for study English. This is one of the things that I want to tell to the next group of ACE students. If you bring the some books for study English, that is definitely useful for you during study English here. Also, I recommend that you should bring variable clothes such as summer clothes and winter clothes, because here temperature is very strange and changeable. That is the one of the experience since I came here. However, I do not want to change my experience here, because I am enough satisfy now. I think experience gained here are the property of my life.

Actually, I do not regret what I have done here, after I started taking classes. I got my precious and a lot of good friends including ACE students, so I am really satisfied the situation now. However, if I could change 2 things about my experience here, I would suggest to our teachers, our tutors and the international office what I wanted to do in the classes or activities. I especially wanted to help for the Design Class more because, it was a good opportunity to use English, and so I think that we should have joined in the class to improve our English skills. Another what I wanted to do is to know many kind of grammars. One day, in Heather`s class, we moved to American history from grammar. Even though I am enjoying the class now, I think I should have suggested it to her. These two are what I would change if I could change about my experience here.

If I could change 2 things about my experience here at UAFS, I would like to change these things. First, I have a regret that I should bring Japanese things more, for example Yukata, traditional goods, and Japanese foods or snacks, because we had many opportunity to introduce that of Japan than I thought, so there is something I want to tell to the next group of ACE students is “ Please bring Japanese things as much as possible!!” Having done that, I think American will be happy! Second, I have regret that I should talk to my roommate more. When I came to here, I was afraid of my roommate, because they get along really well, so I abstained talk to them at first, but I tried to talk to them since about at the beginning of April. They were so kind to me. I have a regret that I should have talk to my roommate more from early. American are really friendly than I thought, so I want to advice! Do not be afraid!!!

Yes. I think English is very difficult lungage but I like English. I poor at English grammer. When I was elementary school, I learned grammer but my head is confusion because Japanese grammare and Amerucan grammer is very vary. Next, I think sustain study English is important . I started to learn English is the time of kinder garden. My kindergarden teached English to kindergartner when I was child, I leared easy words. Forexample, fruit name and animals name. I stumble English, when I was junior highschool student. Then, I stop study English. I have regret because I study English more when I was juniorhigh school. I entry into the J.F.Oberlin University and now I study abroad in United State. I heared and learned English everyday but I don't understand a lots of things.  We have after 3 month in UAFS. I have learned a lot of about English and America. I think learn English is very interesting for me and English is a difficult a little. Because English have a lot of words and each word have some meaning. I think difficult that remember all of words meaning. However I feel interested in remember these words because I am interested in English since I was child. I think after three month at UAFS, I feel still English is so difficult for me. What I can say for certain is this, my English skill improved in this three month. So English I will back to Japan, I will forget to speak English as time passes. Because everyone speak Japanese and we don’t need to speak English in Japan without English class. I decrease a chance what to speak English, so I need I take an opportunity to speak English, to learn and to hear English. Until start my university, I should learn English myself. I think English is very difficult. I want to be study English so I have to study English more. I’m bat at English grammar. When I was in high school student, I don’t study English. Especially. I can’t speak English. When I worked part-time at convenience store, American people came to there. I was serve American people. He said something but I couldn’t understand at that time.        After 3 months at UAFS, I still think that English is a difficult language to learn. This is because English is different from Japanese. Japanese has not pronunciation “th” and “r”, so it is difficult for me to pronounce them. It is difficult for me to distinguish between R and L sounds, too. In addition, English grammar is different from Japanese, so when I write sentence and I talk with other people, I was often confused. I realized that I am not able enough since I came here. I thought I have to study English more hard whenever I did not tell my opinion to other people and I did not understand what other people say. I think if you speak English a little, I can come to know other people, but if you want to make a best friend in here, you should study English hard.

I think English is still difficult for me. So I can’t still understand English perfectly. Certainly, I think my English is improved now than before but it is not enough. Three month is too short. I want to stay here more time but I have to go back Japan May 10^th. So I have to learn more during two weeks. I can easily say that but I think difficult to execute that. Takeo said “If Japanese become speak English perfectly, you need least two years.” So I can’t become speak English perfectly in three month. I think so too. So I have to get a lot of experience of America. Recently, I often hang out with American friends. I want to make a lot of memories of here before I go back to Japan. Of course, English is difficult. I was able to gain many valuable experiences with American friends for example my roommate, Valentine’s Day’s party, tea tine, Devil’s Den and hang out. I could a lot of American friends in here. I always talk English with these friends. These days, I got used to English conversation. I used to listening to English but speak English is difficult for me. It is difficult that I remember a lot of words also make sentence is difficult. I stay during America, I have a lot of time to meet many new words. So I have to remember many words as a speak English. When I came here, I have been speaking English more. I still think that English is a difficult language to learn. However when I speak English in conversation, I don’t think that English is a difficult language, because I can tell others things what I want to say only of word. Therefore I can speak English with giving little thought about grammar. On the other hand, I think that English is difficult language when I write down a paper in English, because I have to care about grammar and spell. I also have to remember English vocabulary more, because I don’t have enough vocabulary. However I think I can get a lot of vocabulary during this study abroad and I can use this vocabulary in conversation. I will keep studying English since I go back to Japan, but I think I will be able to study English hard than before I was in Japan. I want to study English more in the future.

When I first came to America, I reminded difficult of English. I thought things may turn out before I came to here, but it was very hard than I thought. Especially, I had difficult time speaking English. There is something I want to say, but I cannot tell about it well. I feel frustrated that I cannot speak English well. I had regret that I should have studies more when I am in Japan. There have big difference between the grammar of English and the grammar of Japan. I was commuting English conversation class when I was preschool student, but I still cannot get English perfectly. Eventually, the quick way to learn English is to live in America. Three month has passed since I came to here. My English skills is improving without stopping. But I am going to return to Japan soon, so I want to continue to study English after I come back to Japan.

              After when I came here, I think that English is very difficult. It is because I cannot tell my feeling well. I went to the gospel concert that my friend sang. It was great concert I was impressed from the concert. I like this concert very much. However, I could not think of what I should say. I could not tell my feeling well. I said only “Your concert was great.” This ward is everybody can to say. I want to tell what I felt more. I felt disappointed for me. However, I can know that learn vocabulary is most important.    I am sometimes likely to forget the purpose of studying abroad, so my purpose of studying abroad must be improving my English skills, I almost forgot it. Today, I would like to introduce my English skills when I have stayed the UAFS for 3 months. Basically, I would like to tell about how much I improve my English skills. Actually, I do not know whether I improve my English skills because I cannot understand what Americans say even now, but I feel I became to be able to write the Blog very fast more than when I came here, so I just know that I am getting used to English. If I get used to English completely, I will feel that English is very easy to learn for me. Now, I feel that English is difficult to learn for me because English has a huge number of vocabulary. It is not only English but also other language. Basically, I mean you need to get used to it for learning some languages. I would like to continue learning English because I am getting used to it right now.

I still think English is really difficult language because it is different fundamental configuration between Japan and America. Also, English pronunciation is very difficult for me. I am able to hear than before, so I think my listening skill became improved. However, when I speak English, I cannot speak at good pronunciation, especially, R and L, and accent. I want more improving my English, and I want to be more a good speaker of English. However, I learned a lot of new vocabulary, so it is absolutely improved to my English skills and it will be useful of my life.  I thought English was a very difficult language, before I came to America to study abroad. When I learned English at my university that is in Japan, I felt it was very hard because it is difference from Japanese. Grammar, pronunciation, voice of tone and so on are vary. Actually, I did not care it when I studied English in Japan but, after I came here, I became to care it. I especially think voice is very difference. American people use abdominal breathing when they speak a language. However, Japanese people do not usually use it. It sounds like not strong. As I pronounce words of English, I have to use abdominal breathing. It will be better sound. After I came here, I care it always. I want to speak English like American people. Therefore, my aim of learning English is higher more than before. That is why I still think that English is a difficult language to learn.

Assigunment#51

I was dancing in the iFest. We practiced dancing very hard. I have never played dancing before. When we started to practice dancing, I was bad at dancing. I thought I don’t want to dance. We often had to practice dance. We had a lot of homework so we were busy. I wanted to study English more but I had not time. However I liked dancing by degrees. Arisa and Anna thought dance construction. They are good at dancing. I’m bad at dancing but they teach me dancing. I was afraid to dance in the iFest. I was a tense on the day of the iFest. Actually I had a mistake but I enjoyed dancing. When I watched our dance video, I was touched by our dance. I appreciate that Arisa and Anna teach me dancing. I had a good time. I want to be dance with ACE class. I want to tell this event to my Japanese friends.

              Last Saturday, we had an international festival. We danced 2 kind dances. first was traditional dance . It was “Soran-bushi.” Another one was  Japanese pop dance. It was “Ninjyari-banban.” We made the costume ourselves. It is looks like Ninjya. A lot of people raved this costume. We were very happy. We practiced the dance a lot. Last week we practiced at 6 o’clock in the morning. It was hard for me. However, we tried wake up early. Now, it was very good memory for me. In the International festival, a lot of people came to the hall. I was top of the tower. it is cold “Yagura.” so I was  very nervous. However, it was a success beyond our expectations hopes. many audience The hall resounded with the clapping of the audience. I also took a lot of photo with my friends. Many people praised for us. It was become a great memory for me.

 

Assignment #51

People of different countries joined i Fest at UAFS, for example, Korean, African, Vietnamese Japanese and others. We performed dance in i Fest on Saturday in there. These dances are Japanese traditional dance and Japanese pop dance. It was very fun!! We started preparation from March. We spent a lot of time and little money for I Fest. i fest succeed thanks to that. When we performed, the crowds broke into loud cheers. I was glad. I thought we accomplish dance. I have edited the music for this day. We practiced dance at early morning and night for this day. Actually, it is so hard. Every one tired everyday but I’m looking forward to i Fest. So I did my best for i Fest. Now, i Fest is done. I felt a little sad because we might don’t have opportunity of dance. But I want to dance again with them someday because it was so fun!! We are good friends forever !

On Saturday is International festival. International festivall is various country introduce our country. We are dancing at the ifest. I was very excited because we practice dance many time. That day we prepared to be up early. We wearing a costume and make-up my eyes. We finished prepare then we went to hall. I was a little nervous because many people stayed chair. We danced two songs. We made a tower at the end of the first song then cheer of the audience was great. After dance, ArisaM cried then her tear was contagious and I cried too. ArisaM and Anna will think about the dance moves I appreciate it. A lot of people came to there. Everybody say “great and awesome.” I was glad that it was successful. International festival dance is treasure for me.

On Saturday, it held International festival on UAFS. There are a lot of people for example my friendship family, Mike and Carly. I was glad that I could meet with my friends. Ace students were doing dancing. I was tenser than my baseball game. We were practicing dance every day until International festival. I made a mistake but I did my best so that really became lively. I was so glad because many audiences clapped our dancing and I saw standing ovation. I was tired, but it became a good memory. I want to dance again with ACE students and Mari. I want to describe the event to Japanese friends. I will say “I danced Soranbushi and Ninzyaribanban.” Maybe my Japanese friends is surprised because many Japanese people has danced Soranbushi but Kyary PamyuPamyu’s dance is very difficult. I want to show about our dancing movie for my Japanese friends.

     iFes is an event that many people introduce their countries. It is a big event in Fort Smith, so many people came to iFes. I was surprised because more people than I had imagined came to the event.

     Japan does not have many foreign people, so we have fewer events like iFes. In Japan, I rarely have a chance to tell Japanese culture to people from different places in the world. On the other hand, the U.S. has many different kinds of people, so people can get together and hold an event like iFes. In iFes, I learned about other countries’ cultures. In addition, Fort Smith has only a few Japanese, so people are interested in our culture. I was glad to tell Japanese culture to them.
     iFes is a good event to understand other countries and my own country. In order to make the event successful, many people helped with iFes. I was grad to take part in iFes and it is a good memory for me.

Assignment#51

On last Saturday, we has International Festival at Stubble Field Center. This event which is each counties introduce about own countries. We announced Japanese traditional dance and Japanese pop dance in front of audience who were local folks, and UAFS students. We practiced dance hard since before Spring Break for this day. I was dance leader, so I had a sense of responsibility until this day. We fought about costume in spite of the previous day, so I was so anxious I could not help myself. I got really nervous before the performance, because it was crowded with many audience. I do not really remember the details of showed dance. After we announced dance, we were praised by many people. I was filled with a feeling of superiority. I wanted give up everything, and sometime everything gone wrong, but the moment after we finished dance, I thought I am glad I did my best during that time. I do not even have one regret.

Assignment#51

     Last Saturday, we had a great event at UAFS. It is hold by international students every single year. A lot of students from several countries join for it, for example, Japanese, Vietnamese, Brazilians, Koreans and others. We can see culture of each country. Anyway, we, ACE students, got an opportunity that we danced in front of audiences. It was my first time because I had never danced like a show. When it was decided, I was inspired and I was kind of nervous. But the performance went a long way. All of our friends said to us “You guys were awesome.

     “If you come to this festival, you will be able to feel like going to many countries.” I think I will use this phrase, when I introduce about “iFest” to my friends. Actually, I felt so and I was excited. Our university that is in Japan has an international event, too. However, it is not big like “iFest”, so this festival delighted me. I want to dance with my friends again.

Assignment#51

I danced at international festival on Saturday. It became definitely valuable experience and treasure of my life. We were a lot of dance practice until Saturday. It was really hard because we were doing from early morning. Also, there were a lot of problems such as costume, stage, and not enough time. We have had two types of dances. First dance was Japanese traditional dance. Another one was Japanese popular artists dance. We wore like a ninja. Before dancing, I was very nervous, at the same time I thought I do not want to end. Ten minute of our stage was in an instant. Because sometimes I mistake dance, I regret just that. However, I think we could the best performance ever. It was absolutely moved my heart. After this event, I saw the video of our dance which has been put on Facebook. When I saw that, I was overwhelmed. If I come back to Japan, I want to talk about this event to my friends and family.

Last Saturday we went to international festival in stubble center. Also we were dancing of Japanese traditional and pop dance. Our dance was success and we get a lot of cheer. It was fun. International festival has a lot of countries booth and a lot of each other foods and drinks. For example there are Japanese, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Brazil etc. There are a lot of countries people in here and each other music, dance and costume. It was personality I think. I could good experience a lot of countries cultures.

I would like to recommend my japan friends that I will say “International festival has a lot of countries and can relation with another countries people. It will make you funny.” Probably my friend wants to come this because there are interested to English friend around to me. This festival did one of the my best memories too.

On Saturday, I went to iFest. I was dancing of Japanese traditional dance and Japanese popular dance. We could be succeeded dance performance. We spent a great deal of time practicing dance. Therefore when I finished dance, I was happy and I heaved a sigh of relief. After that, we were took many pictures with strangers. I though our costume was really rare for other country people, so I was glad we wore the ninja’s costume.

If I introduce iFest to a friend in Japan, I will describe it as follows. In International festival, there were a lot of booth of different countries and many foods. I could eat many each nation traditional foods and drinks. There were very good taste. If you go there, you can learn different countries culture. You can also come into contact with a different culture. Therefore, you will be able to have a good time. I was very excited in iFest.

On last Saturday international festival held in the stubblefield center. We danced Japanese traditional dance and danced to the popular Japanese music. We practiced hard early morning practice, after class and after eat dinner at gym. So when we finished dance, I felt a sense of achievement and we gave the audience us best performance. We wore dress like a ninjya. We could showed Japanese traditional dance and costume for foreign country people. After dance, everyone asked us “Can I take a picture with me?” and everyone took picture of us. Mr. Suzuki, Brock, professor Mickel and other acquaintance said to us“ God job! Awesome! “. Our dance actually strengthened our friend ties. I can made good memory in America. If I describe the event to a friend in Japan, I will say I can watch other country culture dance and I can come into contact with a different culture.

  This weekend was very impressive because we did a Japanese traditional dance, and also we trained dancing very hard for the International Festival, so I would like to introduce the International Festival today. I felt that the festival was very huge because a lot of various countries exhibited each cultural things. Japanese booth told about the Great East Japan Earthquake. Then, there were many visitor in the International Festival, and also many my friends came the festival, so it made me happy. Actually, I would like to talk about our dance more than anything. We spent a lot of time for getting the dance, and also our enthusiasm was very strong, so we could success the big project. I was so nervous before to present the dance, I just believed myself and my group, so I could complete the dance satisfactorily. It became my great memory, and also I was very fun and emotional about it.

I am going to talk about two challenges I had to overcome this semester. I thought about them, but I did not come up with them, because I have been continuing the challenges.

     First, do not be late for the classes and do not be absent from the classes. These are reasonable, but I think these are important. These are easy at a glance but I have to take good care of myself, so I do three things. First, getting moderate sleep. Second, getting moderate exercise. Third, laughing well. I have been doing these things, as a result I have been attending all class until today.
      Second, I memorize all vocabulary book’s words for this semester. I am not good at memorize vocabulary, so it is hard for me. However, nothing is more important than vocabulary. If I know many vocabularies, I can tell my opinion to other people, so I try to memorize 60words every day.
      I will continue these things until return to Jpan.

  I will have to come back to Japan about 2 weeks later, so I had to get used to live in the U.S already. I think I get used to live in that, but I cannot speak English very well yet, so I will have to talk with Americans more and more. Today, I would like to introduce my challenges that are the studying abroad. I was afraid of talking with Americans, and also I could not talk with them very well because I could not listen to English, but now, I am not afraid of talking with Americans. Then, I could not understand everything in English completely because I did not study English hard so far, but now, I can understand something in English a little. I think these are my big growth. I would like to be able to understand everything in English very well by the time that I return come back to my country.

Three months are passed since I came to America. My first challenge is that it is not shy. I am very shy and I dislike speak to another person. However I tried to speak to another person is United State. I was nervous at the first. However I tried many time, many people talked me, I was so happy because American people speak to me with a smile. American people is very friendly then easy to talk to. I speak a lot thanks to the Americans my friend. I want to talk more to local people.

Next my challenge is speak English anytime. However I always speak Japanese. It is bad things because my purpose is study abroad and study English. I speak Japanese if go back to japan. Study abroad is valuable experience I speak English more the rest of the time. I will do my best achieve my goal.

I can gained precious experience in this semester. First my challenge is to speak English with foreign country people and I can improve my English skill. Of course, I can overcome this challenge. Because everyone uses an English and common language is English. I was exposed to real English. I talked to a lot of foreign people and I made many friends. When I came to here I learned more new vocabulary in class and I learned American culture, So I can came into contact with a different culture. Second, I overcome American food. All American food are so heavy and high calorie. I don’t like heavy food, but when I came to America, I gradually got used to a American food. Now I like heavy food and I getting fat. There are still two week left before I back to Japan, so I want to use my time wisely.

I tried three things in America, such as making a friends, eating various foods and improving my English skill. In making friends, I didn’t have foreigner. When I came to Fort Smith, I thought I want to a lot of friends. Now, I have a friends. I always talk to them so I have a good time. In eating various foods, I ate various foods in America such as pizza, meat loaf and hamburger. My favorite food is meat loaf. I want to make a meat loaf when I go back to Japan. American foods are fatter than Japanese foods, so I have gained weight recently. I want to eat various food. In improving my English skill, I think I improve my English skill a little bit. I want to be able to speak English more so I have to study English and talk with my friends more. I want to try various things.

I could overcome many things this semester. I could make progress on my English skill, but it is nothing special. Therefore I talk about further point.

I could overcome American style. For example, I always put on shoes, I don’t put up an umbrella when a light rain is falling, American people are late for time of an appointment when I meet up with my American friends and so on. I’m not under stress now. I could get used to this environment, so this environment is comfortable for me.

Next I could say my idea. At afternoon class, I told tutors that we want to do something in this class. We wanted to watch the movie, because our homework was to watch this movie. At that time, I could watch this movie. Therefore I thought that we can do it if we have an idea.

I have only two weeks, so I want to live life to the fullest in America.

Since I came to here, I tried a lot of challenges to overcome this semester. I will introduce two impressive topics. First, I decided aim in Japan before I came to here. It was “I want to be strong” So since I came to here, I tried to take independent action as much as possible. From the very beginning I was like to act by myself, but here is America. I cannot speak English well, so I thought this act is important for me. Second, it is The International Festival. It is big event for me, because I am dance leader, and have responsibility. When I decided dance leader, I wish we could show awesome dance to audience than former semester, but to get a team together was really hard. We have practiced dance over time until today. Now the International festival is tomorrow. That is enjoyable and unsettling. If this dance goes well, I could overcome.

 Before I came here to study English, I could not really reply to a person who asked to me with English. I always translated English into Japanese in my brain, but, now, I got to understand English with English in my brain. Our teacher, Mike, said to me “The way is the best of idea”. I keep in my mind to understand English with English. First, I was confused and could not understand what he or she said to me, but, I got to understand it more and more.

 When I talked with American people, I was kind of embarrassed because the people use English as first language. I was worried about my pronunciation. However, other people like Vietnamese do not mind it, so it encouraged me to speak English. This experience in UAFS is going to make me courageous forever. I had a lot of challenge during studying abroad. I want to clear all until I come back to Japan.

Study abroad is very precious experience. I have many challenges above all I want to introduce my two challenges. First, when I came here, I want to make a lot of American friends. About three month has passed since I came here. I think, I could make a lot of American friends. UAFS students are very friendly so they spoke to me for example “Do you want to play soccer?” and “Where are you from?” I was glad and sometimes I played soccer with American friends. This challenge was achieved. Second, I wanted to speak English more. There are a lot of my English teacher in UAFS for example ACE class teachers, tutors, my roommates and Friend ship family. They are so kind and friendly so I could talk with theirs. I am little shy so to conversation is very important for me. However, I think, this challenge is not achieve. I have to study English more. I want to speak many English every day.

“NO JAPANESE“is the best hard challenge in my challenges. Before I came to America, Of course I usually speak Japanese but after I came to America, it is not usual. I have to usually speak English from I arrived America. It is usual things and I already knew but actually it is difficult for me. When I arrived America, I was filled anxiety because I can’t speak English and I didn’t have vocabulary at before than now. But now I think my English improved from I arrived America. I still my English is not perfect so I want to become my English better in about two weeks. And then, my life cycle was improved. Before I came to America, my cycle was so bad because I have part- time job in Japan. So I often worked at 5pm-3am or 5am. I often went bed in the morning and I got up in the evening. But after I came to America, my life cycle is so good. Every morning I got up at about 7:30am and I went to bed at about 11pm or 12pm. It is so good for my body.

              I tried just do not be shy. I participated in the thing which could participate. I like watch the play so I watched two plays with my Japanese friends and American people here. It was good practice hear English. It was not have to go, but I went to every option things. I think it was my having the best for example I went to kayak, went to hiking in the mountain, gospel concert, movie night and a lot of party. i was bisy, but it was became my great memory.

Recently, I try to eat lunch with American. It is difficult things for me. However, I have only 2 weeks so I want to talk with American people more. I want to hang out with my friends here.

I did a lot of things this semester, for example, there are talking English with my friends, learn and remember a lot of new vocabulary and life in a dormitory. I live in a dormitory and like single life for the first time. In that I am challenge the overcome this semester, I think speak English a lot with my friends. When I stay in Japan, almost I did not have opportunity speak English. So my best overcome is speak English many times. For example I always speak English with UAFS friends and teachers in cafeteria, classroom or school ways. I think I can be fast spoke English when I come to Arkansas for the first time. Speak English is so fun and makes me happy because I want to speak English before many years. From now on I want to speak English a lot with friends, teachers and somebody.

I have overcome my life style at this semester. When I was in Japan, usually I had got up at noon with the excepted there is school in the morning. It was not quality time. I had spent a mundane daily. For example, I went to school and after that I had a part time job. In other words, every day was at the same. It was boring. However, from I coming here, my lifestyle is absolutely changing. I get up early, and there are tightly plan of the each day. It is a little bit busy, but every day is different and deep, so I can feel freshly and it is great fun. In other, I challenged study hard. Of course, it is natural things because this is study abroad. In other words, the purpose is to study English. However, I have never study English hard like this semester. I was not until now the opportunity to talk with a lot and foreigners, so it was very big challenge for me. I was helped by a lot of people.

I think study abroad is very good thing. Because I’m experiencing various things, such as to make friends, to study English more and to come into contact with a different culture. I want to introduce that three things. First, when I came to Fort Smith, I could make a lot of friends so I always have a good time. I want to treasure these friends more than anything else. When I go back to Japan, I think I want to get in touch with these friends. Second, when I came to here, I didn’t speak English at all. However I studied English and talk to American people then I speak English a little bit. I feel I improved my English skill. I will continue to study English. Yes, I recommend study abroad. Study abroad is good experience for someone. For example, study real English, make foreign country friends. I think go another country is scary and anxiety but more than that precious time waiting for someone. When I was high school student I went to United State for the first time. First, I’m so anxiety but I hooked on study abroad. Enjoyment for study abroad is I learn another country culture and another things and speak local people. Study abroad cost is expensive. I would like to thank parent. It is not easy. I learned lot of things about America. For example, American culture, American heros English words and everyday conversation words. My three class teacher is always teached anything. My know ledge is gain. I was so happy because I learned many things. I would like to study abroad again. I recommend to study abroad.

Yes, I would like to recommend study abroad for somebody. For example my friend that it is interesed in English. There are some friend interested in English and abroad to around me. They are saying " I want to go ot study abroad." So I would like to tell for them study abroad in America. Study abroad is very fun. Also I can learn a lot of things, for example, speaking, reading, listening, a lot of new words an relation to some kind of people. This study abroad let me get growth than since i stay in Japan. If someone wants to go study abroad, I will recommend that for that person. I think study abroad is good experience for that person because I had experience that. If will someone go study abroad, that person can get a lot of skill of that country. So I recommend study abroad for people. But it needs a lot of money. So if you really interest to English, you should go to America. I had good time in Arkansan. I had a lot of experience in America. America has so many different things. Such as, food, personality, classes, events…etc. If you come to America, you can have these experiences. I wrote many to the above but I can’t explain that well. If you interest to English, I think anyway you should go to America. That is the best way. If I have money in that time, I want to go study abroad in here.     I would recommend anyone to study abroad. This is because I learned a lot of things other than English. Of course, I learned English, in addition, I could know about Japan. Japan is an island, so I hardly ever see other country people. My elementary school, junior high school and high school’s class are all Japanese. However, the U.S. is very diverse. The U.S. has many different kinds of people, so l saw people from other countries here. Whenever I meet people from other countries, I notice the difference between Japanese and Americans. For example, when Americans meet a stranger, Americans say “Hello, how are you”. However, Japanese do not.  On the other hand, Japanese arrive at a place to meet before the meeting time, but Americans do not. I learned about food, places, and culture and not only personality since I came here. I think studying abroad is good an opportunity to understand different kinds of people and learn more about your home country

I recommend study abroad for Japanese people. Study abroad is very important experience. I am doing study abroad now. It is so good because I can hear Native American speech and I can talk with American people. I want to talk with American friends so I have to study English more. I think, to make friends that I can get up English skill. Japanese people are shyer than American people. Many Japanese people do not like conversation but American people do like conversation. In fact, since I came here I increased opportunity of conversation. I could make a lot of friends so I have fun every day. I can also learn American culture. American culture is interesting. The American culture differs from Japanese culture in many cases. I have to back to Japan on May 11^th, but I want to do study abroad again. I would like to say to Japanese people, “If you are interested in America, you should do study abroad.
